What is a Pest control contract and why should I have one in place?
A pest control contract is when you have regular visits to your business from a pest control company.
The idea of the inspections is to monitor the site and protect your business from unwanted pests that could damage your stock and your companies reputation.
At the end of each inspection you should get a report from the pest control company detailing what they have found, actions taken or needed plus any other recommendations that can help you stay pest free.
Why should I have a pest control contract program in place?
There are many reasons for having a pest control contract in place as the list below will show but the key question is “How much is your companies reputation worth?”.

• It means that you are complying with the Public Health Act, Food safety Act and The Prevention of Damage by Pests Act which all state that premises must be pest free and safe for staff and the public.

• If you have or you are thinking of getting ISO 14001 accreditation then pest control can be used as part of that for environmental reasons.
• Prevention is better than cure as some pests can go unnoticed due to their size or areas and times of day they move and operate in.
• Pest management is like insurance for your business they are there to protect you just like other insurances you have.
• It shows that you care about the environment, staff, customers and your business.
• A pest management program is for all businesses as rodents, insects and birds don’t care if you are an office or a take away sometimes all they want is shelter.
